Asodotril, the first god, was born out of nothingness. Asodotril was the first entity to exist in
the universe and post-universe. Untold
ages passed before, out of his goodwill, he created the world as a massive and
barren ball of rock. He then split his
power and created four new deities to help him manage the rock. These deities were Asoyinial, god of water;
Asokaral, god of nature and finally Asotolo, god of the weather. These three gods helped shape the earth –
Asoyinial blessed the world with water, Asokaral blessed the world with
short-living animals and plants and Asotolo created the sun and the rain. To guard the world each god also created
daemons and imps that defended the holy places of the deities. These daemons and imps resided in great
fortresses made of iron and obsidian. The
four gods, called the Yleisar, governed the world fairly and justly from their
palace on the Moon. At this point there
was no intelligent life.
At the same time of Asodotril’s creation another god was
also birthed. This god was called Apuhalle. While Asodotril ruled our Earth, Apuhalle
created another world called Pyakli. It
was, however, incredibly different to ours.
Instead of water flowing in the crevasses of the planet molten lava
flowed. Instead of trees vast mountain
ranges filled with volcanoes dotted the surface. A star that emitted a harsh red light
replaced the white light of the sun.
Even the creatures were different.
Each was a foul beast designed to kill and murder each other.
Soon Apuhalle began to grow jealous of the creations of the
Yleisar. He confronted Asodotril about
his creations:
“Why, brother, do you allow me and my minions rot in our
hell instead of allowing us to join you on your Earth?” said Apuhalle.
“Your world is fundamentally wrong. You lack the benevolence to create a world of
wonders. Instead you desire a world of
murder and vice. That is why we, the
Yleisar, will not admit you to Earth.”
Enraged Apuhalle left the Moon and returned to Pyakli. There he devised a scheme to destroy the
Earth and overthrow the Yleisar.
10,000 years passed before Apuhalle made his move. During this time he had designed creatures called
Paldhiks. They were 3 metres tall. They could live for more than 2000 years. He managed to create 6 armies of 3000 before
his assault.
Apuhalle cast a spell that tore a rift in reality and
allowed his armies to pass freely into Earth.
They despoiled continents and burnt forests. They butchered everything in their path until
they arrived at Asoyinial’s Daemon fortress. Asoyinial’s daemons fought well but little could harm
Apuhalle’s armies. Finally after three hundred long years the Paldhiks broke
into Asoyinial’s fortress and massacred his daemons. The survivors fled into Asodotril’s own
fortress.
The Paldhiks marched onto Asotolo’s fortress. Again the Daemons mounted a brave defence but
their fortress was also levelled, the surviving Daemons fleeing to Asodotril’s
fortress.
The same thing happened to Asokaral’s fortress.
Unknown to everyone Asodotril had been planning something
since the invasion. They were the
humans. They were created to be similar
to Paldhiks but they were more intelligent, stronger and they reproduced
faster.
In the depths of Asodotril’s fortress the first humans were
created. Within a couple of generations
they numbered more than 20,000. They
worked out how to fight and organise themselves. When they were ready to defend the Yleisar
and Earth they were released into the wilds.
Between the Paldhiks and Humans hundreds of battles were
fought. Often the Humans overwhelmed
them and hundreds of Paldhiks were killed in these battles.
However the Paldhiks managed to break free from the humans
and they besieged Asodotril’s fortress.
All the demons of all the Yleisar defended their gods from the defilers
of Earth. 9 times did the Paldhiks
attack and 9 times were they repulsed.
For one month did the siege last.
Finally the Paldhiks broke through the walls. A valiant defence was fought by the demons
but slowly, after two days and two nights of bitter fighting the demons
appeared to be defeated. Just as the
Paldhiks were about to break into the God’s chamber the humans arrived. With nowhere to retreat the Paldhiks were
massacred and Earth was saved.
The Gods gave the humans the Earth to control in thanks only
demanding prayer and sacrifices in return.
Meanwhile they set about re-building what had been destroyed.
Over time the people multiplied and split up, ending the
nation of Humans and creating what would become the people of many kingdoms,
cities and tribes. Each interpreted the
Yleisar’s will in different ways.
And so ended the First War and thus begun the history of Humanity.
